April Report 2019

Dear Owners,

No major maintenance issues cropped up in April. The path outside block 4 has been modified to improve the access to the garages of blocks 3 and 4 so hopefully cars can now enter from the right direction.

Tomi visited Phase 1 on 11 April and is signed off until his next review on 6 May. His doctor however has advised him that he cannot drive anymore which obviously would make a return to work almost impossible. He is eligible for retirement from the beginning of July so the hope is that he will choose to retire so we can stop paying him.

The pool heating at pool 2 has been on for some time and the water temperature is 24 degrees.

An extra area for garden waste is being created on the barranco area.

Carlos, our previous gardener, is taking the community and his employer to court and the hearing is scheduled for 24 September in Malaga. We also have received another claim against the community from a cleaning company that worked in Phase 1 several years ago when Jose Maria was President. They claim the contract was terminated early and are seeking compensation for that which amounts to over 12,000 euros. The lawyer handling the claim against our previous administrator is confident that this claim can be added to the claim against Carmen.

As the summer season fast approaches it would be appreciated if owners that rent out their apartments could ensure renters are aware of the community rules, which are displayed on all the noticeboards and which should be in rental apartments, and that they are given remote controls and encouraged to use the underground parking.
