July report 2019

Dear Owners, Thank goodness July has been and gone as it brought with it an abundance of problems caused by holiday makers over and above what we usually experience. There were particular issues with big groups of young people in blocks 1 and 8 who felt the need to break every rule and some! It never ceases to amaze me how some people behave. Our lovely Tomi has now officially retired and the last payment was made to him at the end of June. I’m sure we all wish [...]

June Report 2019

Dear Owners, There have been no major issues during June – minor maintenance issues have been dealt with promptly and some bigger jobs which are in the pipeline will now be held over until after the summer season. A new area for garden waste has now been established which should make things easier for the gardener. A post box is going to be installed on the wall outside the concierge hut so that if the post arrives when the concierge is doing his rounds there is a secure place [...]

The outside ‘barranco’ area has been almost completely cleared of weeds. This is something we always had to pay a lot of extra money to have done but which has been done this time as part of [...]

April Report 2019

Dear Owners, No major maintenance issues cropped up in April. The path outside block 4 has been modified to improve the access to the garages of blocks 3 and 4 so hopefully cars can now enter from the right direction. Tomi visited Phase 1 on 11 April and is signed off until his next review on 6 May. His doctor however has advised him that he cannot drive anymore which obviously would make a return to work almost impossible. He is eligible for retirement from the beginning of July [...]

An attempt to educate the ignorant

Although I should not have to do this I am going to attempt to educate a small group of ignorant people within our community who seem to be continually fascinated by my husband and his ‘condition’ My reason for doing so is that a complete stranger, currently staying in apartment 311 in Phase 1, today felt that he had the right to be rude and abusive to my husband for no apparent reason other than he decided he could. These people don’t know Michael or anything about him and [...]
