Dear Owners,
There are no major issues to report on for August. It was quieter and less hot than in previous years although, of course, the annual influx of holiday makers brought with it the usual disregard for pool rules in terms of glass bottles being taken to the pools, inflatables in the pools etc etc. We escaped any serious issues thankfully.
The bathroom floor repairs at pool 1 were completed and the bathroom re-opened. Minor repairs were carried out including a blocked pipe at pool 3, a broken sprinkler pipe and a broken pipe at the base of the fountain.
Carlos had extra help in the garden for 7 days and we had to call in the pest control company for extra work to eliminate red beetles in some of the palm trees.
The painting project has been completed and the company that have carried out the works hosted a drinks party in the square on 24 August which was well attended and very enjoyable. We have to continue monthly payments until the end of 2019 to pay for the completed works and at the AGM in November we will discuss what happens next with regard to further painting. I will meet with the painting company over the coming weeks to discuss what options are available and these will be presented at the AGM. There is no doubt that Phase 1 is looking greatly improved.
Tomi is still in hospital after a second operation. I sent him the card and messages I had collected and he was very emotional at everyone’s kindness. Hopefully he will be able to return home soon and, in the meantime, his son Paco is continuing to cover shifts on a temporary contract basis. Once Tomi is home we will know more about him being able to return to work.
